Building Understanding
& Forging Connections
The SDI actively engages with industry events, conferences, and seminars to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking within the engineering community. We participate in various events, including steel and structural engineering-related gatherings. Through our presence and involvement, we aim to contribute to the advancement of steel deck systems, share best practices, and stay up to date with the latest trends and innovations. By actively engaging with professionals in these events, we create opportunities for valuable exchanges, learning, and the growth of the steel and structural engineering industry as a whole.
2023 Events
NASCC: The Steel Conference
The Steel Conference is the premier educational and networking event for the structural steel industry. This conference brings together structural engineers, structural steel fabricators, erectors, detailers, and architects. Engineering students also play a prominent role in the attendance.
2023 CFSEI Expo
The Expo is designed for architects, builders/contractors and engineers, with an educational program geared toward both skilled cold-formed steel framing professionals as well as newcomers. It will provide opportunities for education and networking as well as an exposition featuring state-of-the-art innovations, technologies and principles in cold-formed steel framing.
NCSEA Structural Engineering Summit
The Structural Engineering Summit provides the opportunity to engage and interact with hundreds of practicing structural engineers. Leaders in the field, influential minds, and curious problem solvers will all be in attendance.
The SDI values connecting with the engineering community, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking. We are eager to attend or present at your structural engineering and steel construction events, including state-level SEA events. Additionally, we welcome invitations to other meetings upon request.
